MDBList API Key

MDBList aggregates ratings from IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, Letterboxd, Trakt, and more. AIoMetadata can use it to display aggregated ratings on titles. The free tier currently allows up to 1,000 API requests per day.

1. Create an account

Go to mdblist.com and click Login.

You can sign in with your Trakt account (recommended — no separate registration needed) or create a standalone MDBList account with an email.

2. Find your API key

  1. Once logged in, go to mdblist.com/preferences/
  2. Scroll down and expand the API Access section
  3. Your API key is displayed there — click Copy

1,000 requests is typically enough for normal personal use. AIoMetadata may cache results, reducing repeated API requests for the same titles.
